Examining aging, consumerism, and ultimately, our relationship to mortality, Eat it All grapples with the intensity of being alive. Themes of distortion, augmentation, and relationship to the natural world are expressed in the manipulation of materiality and imagery. Charged colors and commonplace materials construct oversized paintings that envelope viewers in a world laced with juicy peaches, weighted dice, and subliminal advertising.

Eat it All plays further with ideas of age, discardment, and beautification by utilizing objects that are just that - old, used, and abandoned. Porcelain hands, clay jugs, vintage rugs take on saturated new identities with the application of house-paint. Is paint to art what lipstick is to a mouth? Who can say. Bits and pieces of imagery reminiscent of days gone by are stitched together with vibrant patterns and amplified colors. The result is the creation of a dreamlike world, leaving an impression of distorted familiarity.

With the inevitable passing of time, how do we respond to societal notions about age, beauty, and value? Eat it All acknowledges that we do it all. We reckon. We revolt. We succumb. We rebuke. We go on. Embracing the chaos, beauty, and pain of chasing the unattainable, Eat it All speaks to the scrutinization of self-worth, the sand passing through our fingertips, and in the end, the defiant pleasure of simply feeling alive.
